It's not a bag, it's a Nylon Hummve without the wheels

Not much was known about the Large Cozmo before purchase - it's extremely hard to find a review on it on Google, or even get a visual impression of exactly how much bigger it is in relation to it's smaller sister. Tempted by the need for a slightly larger version of the Cozmo, a large version was purchased and as ever, arrived on time direct from San Fransico after just a few days.

Although the style is identical to the small version - I would say that it is quite a different beast. Bigger, meaner, and slightly more expensive. The price difference really doesn't reflect the addtional size increase. I wasn't actually after such a big bag - and I got a lot more than just the single inch I was looking for. On a day to day basis, the bag is not really full enough to justify carrying it around - however, it does still keep its structure well, though it will tend to adopt a precarious lean if you over fill the internal pockets without actually placing anything in the central compartment. The wide hard base of the bag means that despite this odd looking lean, the bag still doesn't come close to falling over.

The great thing about the large Cozmo, was actually a complete surprise. My main issue with the small cozmo was the lack of externally secured pocket - and for some reason, as if my magic, there it is on the large model. It is perfectly positioned within the inside of the front facing scoop pocket - and big enough for keys, wallet and mobile phone. Perfect. My prayers were answered. My keenness to use the front secure pocket no doubt contributes to the lean effect.

The front and rear facing scoop pockets on the large Cozmo are also much better suited to handling magazines than with the small cozmo. In the larger rear pocket, a magazine can almost be placed 'landscape' and if placed in 'portait' only the very top of the magazine is visible.

The large Cozmo is a great weekend bag, perhaps even more if the sleeve case is removed and carried separately.

is it clever to drive a Humvee to work? Problably not - but if you had one, would you? Hell yeah. So I guess that's why I'm currently using Large Cozmo as my work bag because I can chuck it all in there one Powerbook? Another one? Projector? Go for it. plus the external zip pocket is a godsend.

I think it is a shame that there isn't a medium Cozmo, one that was just big enough for my 15" Powerbook, with the external zip, but with less free space - perhaps this would be ideal? But then - perhaps this wouldn't work and make the bag unstable.

For the moment, I think I'll go large.
