The Chicago Tribune's Life & Style staff recently tested bags that would make commuting (walking + public transportation) a bit easier to manage. Their criteria:
- big enough to hold a laptop or tablet, plus other office essentials is mandatory
- offer some sort of padding to protect the laptop/tablet, but not look like a computer bag from the 90s
- design is important, but nothing that would say "unprofessional" (like your college backpack)
