Agile Brief

I have now had a few weeks with this bag, and I love it. Form and function play together beautifully in every setting I find myself in, from academic work to carrying everyday essentials on casual weekends. A few observations: 1. The quality is excellent, as one would expect. It’s my third WF bag (the other two are backpacks, and the finishing is always top-notch. 2. The size is great: it is slim and easy to carry, it stands on its own, and it holds everything I usually carry with me (laptop, notebooks, water, books, snacks plus phone and wallet). The outer flap easily allows a jacket to be strapped in, too. 3. I was pleased and surprised to see that the inside can hold my ebike battery (a Bosch PowerTube; removing it is a necessity sometimes courtesy of London’s many thieves). It can also double up as an inconspicuous camer bag: a Nikon Z6 with a 24-70/2.8 lens fits snuggly and leaves space for other items. 4. The bag flies under the radar but is a joy whenever one interacts with it - for those to whom this means something, I find the experience very much analogous to an Explorer I watch. Overall, this has quickly become my favourite go-to bag, and I expect it to remain that for many years or even decades to come.

This bag is perfect for my daily needs! Carrying a laptop, all of the tech essentials and literature, this bag is just the right size for taking to client meetings or working on the go! Well built, sturdy and beautiful all at the same time!

Received as a gift for Christmas. Had been asking for this bag for some time, and had it on my “list”. So glad to get it - just the latest example of superb craftsmanship by Waterfield / SF Bags. At first, I thought the top opening might not be as good an idea as the old case I was using which opened completely, but now I see that it is a superior idea - I can get the computer and accessories out of the bag without having to have a large space to open the bag. Just reach in and retrieve.

Plenty of space for an assortment of cables and adapters (unfortunately necessary as the list of USB variants and the Apple specific Lightning connectors grows). Plenty of room in the second padded pocket for the Bluetooth numeric keyboard I carry, and chargers for everything. In fact, there are unused areas within the case and the outside pockets for much more ‘stuff’ as I accumulate it.

I also got cable wraps with the gift, and I had purchased some a while back. Can’t have enough of these either, and they’re so simple they just work.

I have various gear bags in various sizes from SF Bags and I have never been disappointed. Not once. When I had a problem with the snap on a shoulder pad they just sent me a new one. No questions, no wait for evaluation. Just stepped up and solved the issue. Great job, Gary and the gang!

The distressed leather design of this backpack will give it a unique appearance within a month. The comfortable leather handle and bright interior lining provide an excellent user experience, and I believe it features a well-designed and high-quality construction. The only drawback is that I found some loose threads around the pockets.
