It was a choice between the Padded Gear Pouch and the larger Developer’s Gear Case. Decided to go with the Padded Gear Pouch, thinking I would be carrying only few tech bits every once in awhile. Glad I went with the smaller pouch, because this thing holds way more than I thought possible, and there’s still room for more stuff (must be Tardis technology). Finally have a secure place for my Apple Pencil, as well as all the other tech bits and pieces I need every day. Solidly built. Lots of inner nooks to keep stuff handy, separate, and protected. Locking zippers, too. And perfectly sized to slide easily into my Air Duffel. If there was one thing I would change about it, it would be...nope, can’t think of a thing I’d change. It’s perfect.
Generally, the pouch has been very useful. My only suggestion is to reduce the thickness of the padding to allow more items to fit in.
I previously had bought the (unpadded) Gear Pouch, and liked it quite a bit. It held many of the regular cables and adapter I like to have in my backpack. However, I was still missing something for the cables and adapters I'd need when traveling overnight, but not necessarily to and from work each day: laptop power brick, laptop power cable, spare Lightning cables, card reader, and a power bank. The Padded Gear Pouch worked very well to contain all of that stuff, and had room in between the two sides to easily fit my Kindle Paperwhite, too. This time, I moved away from my usual ballistic black so I could easily tell which bag I needed, and picked up the waxed canvas. _Very_ nice! I can't wait to see how it wears.
Great pouch I've ever own. I love this color and material. Thanks god I got it,
The Padded Gear Pouch comes in two sizes offering flexible storage. It's really up to you what you store inside, all while keeping a thin profile.
