I cannot put in words how much I love this bag. I do not like bulky bags so the slim MAC 15in bag works best for my MAC AIR 15in and MAC Mini and accessories with more than enough space for more accessories or a small snacks.
Ever stop to think about it? Everything needs a bag. Heck, I even have bags with their own bags! So, I feel compelled to get a nice bag for whatever I own, most certainly including my new 14” MacBook Pro. And what better bag could I get than a lovely Waterfield Designs bag? It fits my MacBook perfectly, and has just the right amount of room for the mouse, and charger. It even has a little extra room for slipping in more stuff, although it doesn’t seem overly large for just the MacBook. Quality through and through, and so beautiful. It’s a bag I’m proud to carry!
Despite the unavoidable extra costs of having the bag shipped to the UK, this is still a great value little bag. The quality is everything I expected, thank you.
Of surprise was the brilliant customer service that allowed some little tweaking of the bag (at no extra cost).
The only thing that, for me, would make it even better is if the shoulder straps were attached further outboard of the bag. Currently they attach at 1cm inboard of the edge of the bag which means when I wear the back across my back, rather than on one shoulder, the bag pokes out the side of my back and bangs my elbow when I walk which, given I walk quite a long way to work each day (30 mins there and 30 mins back) is quite annoying. If this were changed this problem would be avoided and the bag could operate almost as a sling.
I’ve spent ages looking for a sleeve/bag for my new iPad Pro, found this and loved the look straight away, was in 2 minds about it as it’s a lot to spend but I’m so glad I did, absolutely fantastic. Fits the iPad with Smart Cover perfectly and only looks better the more I use it. Only problem is….I’m now looking for other things on SF bags 😂
I'm calling to my very picky bag friends. I've been on a hunt for a long time for the perfect bag for me. I have too many bags, searching for the one. I've owned/own TomToc bags, Alpaka, Incase, Inatek, Belroy, and Maxpedition to name a few. Every one of those bags I made a concession in one way or another for. (I know I'm picky). I'd been on the hunt for some way to EDC my iPad pro 12.9'. It's huge but I use it for art and I didn't want a full on laptop bag, or backpack. I wanted something slim, but could also hold a couple of other items. I honestly don't even remember how I stumbled on this Waterfield bag. I do own another Waterfield product but it's just some switch cartridge cases. (Which has only looked better with age since it's made from leather).
Anyway I came across this bag and thought it looked beautiful, it's the perfect size for what I want and looks great with any of my outfits. After owning for a while now I'll tell you my favorite features, magnetic latch, soft wide strap, and loops on the side where I can hang my keys or hand sanitizer, soft lining, leather cover and the waxed canvas looks awesome. The best part is I had just ordered a Lochby Field Journal which is also waxed canvas and it matches my bag! Now it's part of my EDC in this bag. There aren't a ton of pockets which has really helped me pare down my EDC to only the essentials. There's room in the bag, but I find I don't need em and prefer the slim profile instead of bulking my bag out.
Two often overlooked items that I really enjoy on this bag are the side loops (which let you remove the straps and hide them) and the soft wide strap. I had having a great bag but the strap is too thin and becomes uncomfortable, or that there are no loops to hang my keys, or other quick click items.
This bag will be my EDC for many years to come in whatever iteration it looks like. I look forward in seeing how the patina, scratches, and scuffs on the body make it all the more characteristic and uniquely mine.
