We've been committed to making products in the USA since our start in 1998. Back then, off-shore manufacturing was the trend, and many sewing shops in San Francisco were shuttered.

But, we wanted hands-on experience of the products we were making — from the idea phase to final production. We wanted to ensure things were done right, make changes on the fly, and iterate on the design as needed.

Our style of small-batch production matches the style of our products — custom-fit and well-designed for your device. You may have to wait a while for us to make it for you, but you know it will be well-made.

We use only premium, full-grain leather. It comes from the toughest part of the hide with the tightest grain. It’s the most durable type of leather because we want your bag to last! Full-grain leather looks better and better with age, so your WaterField bag will develop a beautiful patina that’s all yours.

We offer over 300 sizes of the WaterField laptop SleeveCase — each in 1/2" increments so we can send you a really good fit for your unique laptop. Click on the link below and select OTHER in the sizing drop-down menu. In the “Special Instructions” section, write the spec dimensions of your laptop. Or, to be really accurate, wrap a soft tape measure horizontally around the fattest part of your laptop. Then do the same vertically. Let us know these two numbers — the horizontal and vertical circumference — and we’ll help you find a great fit for your computer.
