The Tech Pocket was designed to be an extra pocket –– a pocket to hold small tech accessories like earbuds, dongles, adapters, Apple Pencil 2, Surface Pen, SD cards, and the like. It can also be used to hold personal items that require some protection in a plush, cushy interior.
The Tech Pocket is one of the products from the Next Generation Gear Case community design project.
This is a great little bag for cord or charger organization. Easily fits my chargers plus other smaller items that accompany my weekend trip essentials while keeping everything organized. The extra padding also prevents me from any worry of damage. I am frequently going on two day trips and I find this is a great accompaniment to my WaterField Atlas.
It's just the right size and has the proper balance of padding without the bulk.
It’s simple, elegant and does the job with 4 generous and well designed pockets. Even with several chargers cables and power adapters- still doesn’t bulge. Also the pouch is so light that there is barely any added weight- especially with the ballistic. A winner.
Great Little Bag. It’s perfect for going out with my wife and kid to the park, camping, or to the pool. Helps me keep everything in one place instead of losing it in the abyss of my wife’s bag/diaper bag.
What is “community-designed”?
Community design is WaterField’s version of crowdsourced design. We worked with customers from idea-to-product on the Next Generation Gear Cases, surveying them on their requirements and getting their feedback as we developed sketches and prototypes. As a result, the products incorporate features that reflect how customers interact with them on a daily basis. Attention to these small details add to the overall quality of the product.
What’s the difference between the Tech Pocket and the Small Gear Pouch?
Both the Tech Pocket and Small Gear Pouch can hold similar items. Although similar in size, the Tech Pocket has a magnetic closure so it opens easily, the Gear Pouch has zipper that zips on two sides. The Tech Pocket has a super soft, plush, cashmere-like liner and the Gear Pouch has our standard gold liner for easy visibility. In general, the Tech Pocket has a very different look from the Gear Pouch, and the choice really up to you.
Why is the interior not the usual WaterField gold liner?
We wanted to add more cushion to the Tech Pocket and the the super soft, plushy, cashmere-like material we chose comes only in black. Hopefully the wide opening will provide enough light to let you see what’s inside.
Can I add a strap to the Tech Pocket?
Yes, you can add a strap. There are two loops on either side of the Tech Pocket from which to attach a strap. You can choose one of the Straps or Wrist Loop we have available.
