The "Duffelgänger" - A short story
Flush from winning the 2014 Ohlone College High School Theater Festival Competition in Film with their "Doppelgänger" entry, the impressarios behind Moral Compass followed up their act with "The Duffelgänger", featuring the Outback Duffel from WaterField Designs. This represents their first commercial endeavor.
Childhood friends Ilya Verzhbinsky and Mica Jarmel-Schneider make up the Moral Compass team. As a student, Verzhbinsky had interned at WaterField Designs and used his experience to create a short story that highlights the many different items a WaterField Duffel can hold. Both teens are using their love of film & creative sensibilities to build up their college fund.
Each year, the Ohlone College Theatre and Dance Department brings together Northern California's finest high school students for two days of competition, inspiration, and instruction. This year, two hundred judges from professional and educational theater evaluated, encouraged, and supported 800 participants. Verzhbinsky's and Jarmel-Schneider's entry won the TV/Video Short Story category among 20 other entries.
