Take the Vitesse for a spin on National Bike-to-Work Day
Next week is Bike-to-Work week, with many cities encouraging commuters to leave their cars at home and join thousands of fellow residents who bike to work. Although National Bike to Work Day is observed on May 15, 2015, some cities will observe it on May 14 as well. This annual event promotes the bicycle as an option for commuting to work. The League of American Bicyclists founded Bike-to-Work Day in 1956.
Leading up to to Bike-to-Work Day, national, regional, and local bicycle advocacy groups encourage people to try bicycle commuting as a healthy and safe alternative to driving by providing route information and tips for new bicycle commuters. According to the U.S. Census American Community Survey Reports, the number of commuter cyclists increased from about 490,000 in 2000 to 790,000 in 2008-12. That makes it the fastest growing means of commuting in the United States.
The recently-introduced Vitesse Cycling Musette makes a perfect companion for those who commute to work on two wheels. When riding, the Vitesse stays put on your back. Off the bike, you can wear the stylish bag cross-body or over one shoulder. The lightweight bag is great for your laptop or tablet or whatever you carry day to day.
