Cargo laptop bag

Almost everything about the bag is great except for the clasp on the side that adjusts the sling. I don't really understand why every other rigid component of the bag is nice quality metal and the clasp is just cheap slightly deformed plastic, it really stands out.

Nothing Beats this Cargo Bag

I absolutely love this bag from the leather that smells fantastic and high quality to the form and function of the bag. This is my third product from Waterfield and is the best one yet. The price might be high when you compare to other bags, but then again once it was in my hands there is no comparison!!!! Hands down the best bag I have ever owned. I can’t wait to find more products to buy from Waterfield and you should too!

Nice bag

It was perfect to hold my laptop and iPad. The only improvement I would recommend is to make the beverage holder in the size bigger. Could not fit my coffee thermos.

Room for everything you need, plus a whole lot more.

The Cargo is surprisingly immense, with room for a MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, AirPods Max in the Shield Case, water bottle, maybe a change of clothes if you’re careful, plus all the cables and plugs and whatnot. But what’s really wild is that it’s still comfortable to carry, whether you’re using the handles and carrying it like a briefcase or using the strap for crossbody carry. The strap is excellent, very easy to adjust. The pocket under the flap is great for everyday non-tech items, including bulky things like glasses cases. And even the flap pocket is a good home for a charging brick and cables. Is it a lot of bag? Absolutely. Overwhelming? Maybe. But if you’re in for a long day and need to carry a lot of things, it does that incredibly well.

And I even like the grizzly leather.

Gary's first product combines the convenience of a messenger bag with the organization of a briefcase.

"The design is genius and quality outstanding. It can be small when I need it to be and stuffed when I need it to be." - Hensley Michael B., Lexington, US.

The original WaterField Cargo Bag used a real seatbelt buckle — the kind found on airplanes — and industrial-grade upholstery material when it first hit the market in 1998, the height of the Dotcom era.

Modeled after Gary's original bag that he used to deliver packages when he was a bike messenger, the Cargo Bag is indestructible and designed with multiple organizational pockets. Today, customers write and tell us how well their Cargo is holding up, or that they've gifted it to their kids or grandchildren.

The bag has evolved to its current form, yet it still holds true to its original intent — a reliable, stylish carry for those who chart their own paths. And, we're proud to claim it's still made in San Francisco, here in the good ol' U.S.A.

The Cargo Bag — built to last.

"After a life on the bike, I got an office job that required a bag to carry the few items I took to work. I was never comfortable with my standard-issue bag, so when I struck out on my own, I had an idea of what my first product would be.

I remember how much I loved my own bike messenger bag when I delivered packages for a living. But its open, cavernous interior wasn't ideal for the office. So after several modifications, the Cargo Laptop Bag came to be.  To stand out, I chose the airline seatbelt buckle and the eye-popping Indium textile (even though it's supposed to be for upholstery) because they can withstand the rigors of business travel and still look distinctive in corporate settings.

I was lucky to be living in San Francisco during the dotcom years when tech entrepreneurs, looking to make their mark, were ready for a work bag that was more in line with their character.  Thanks to them,  the Cargo Bag had a receptive market."
