Gear Pouch

This was no easy pouch to find. I must have spent 3 or 4 weeks looking for the ideal pouch and I just happend to click on a link which led me to their website. I am glad I did not impulse buy and kept looking for that right pouch.
Having recently purchased the WaterField Designs Small Gear Pouch in brown canvas, the functionlity and versatility of this pouch is great, particularly as a complement to the Nutsac Satchel 15. The search for a functional, high-quality, and aesthetically consistent accessory led to this selection after the standard satchel offerings did not meet the specific need for a smaller, quickly accessible organizer.
The primary requirement for this purchase was a compact accessory that maintained the rugged look of waxed canvas while offering a streamlined storage solution. The Small Gear Pouch successfully addresses this need. Its dimensions offer a smaller profile suitable for essential items without adding unnecessary bulk to the satchel.

The pouch currently functions as a central hub for daily essentials, housing items such as a metro card, cash, reading glasses, wipes, bandaids, and Blistex, along with various other small knick-knacks. This consolidation significantly improves organization. The ability to quickly grab this pouch from the satchel and take just this ensures that my essential items are always present. This "grab-and-go" functionality directly addresses the frequent issue of forgetting necessary items when in a hurry.

After multiple uses, the construction quality of the pouch is notably high. The canvas material is sturdy and appears durable enough for frequent use and general handling. I was particularly impressed with the zippers. Its the little things you really notice. When the pouch is placed on its side—a common orientation within the satchel during a 1.5 hour metro commute the zippers remain securely flat and seems to lock down and will not slide open spontaneously, regardless of whether the zipper faces up or down. One of my backpacks had zippers that if you flicked them, they would open a bit.

Odd design

Anything made by Waterfield is top notch quality, intuitive, and elegant. A simple gear pouch is no exception. Practical, functional, and just cool! I’m sure I’ll get more of them in the future, in various sizes cause they just work so well for keeping tech gadgets/accessories organized. As an IT professional, purchasing from a company like Waterfield that makes purpose-built quality products here in the US is wonderful. One of the few companies that makes me, as the customer, feel personally valued. I’d highly recommend this gear pouch to anyone, for many scenarios.

Finally am able to organize all the cables that go along with my electronics. Used to put them in a ziplock which worked but was a pain disentangling - this way things stay well organized. Fits in the top pocket of my travel back pack, and looks good.
