Very tight fitting…looks cool
This is just what I was looking for in a wallet that is not needed to carry a lot of stuff. Great for a few credit cards, some bills, and drivers license. Good build quality and fits in front pocket nicely.
My partner had a huge lump of a wallet that he would casually mention was a pain to carry around/uncomfortable to sit on. He would also have me carry it in my purse or, alternatively, just place the few cards he really needed in my wallet as we left the house.
SO, I decided to get him the minimalist wallet and it is absolutely perfect. He thinks it is so cool and he can even comfortably fit it in his front pocket. The cards fit nice and snug in there too, no concern about them slipping out.
I had my wallet stolen leaving the grocery store, so I needed to get a new one, and since I love my Waterfield bags, I figured I would try one of the minimalist wallets.
In short, the Clyff is exactly what I wanted. I was worried about some of the reviews stating that the wallet was very tight at first, but that is not my experience. The leather feels and looks phenomenal, and the dyes stay put and don't mark up other objects or clothing. It holds exactly what I need: ID, Clipper card, insurance card, and a debit card. I keep my office access badge in the center pocket, along with a few bills in different denominations just in case.
So far, this has been the perfect upgrade for me. I loved my old bifold (it was a gift from my in-laws.) but this is truly a step above, both for in-pocket comfort and just pure style and craftsmanship. I'd recommend looking at any of the Waterfield wallets if you or a loved one is looking to up their game a bit.
The wallet is very well made, and the materials seem great; however, it barely holds more than 2 cards on each side, and hardly any bills in the center compartment. In addition, it's actually thicker than other slim wallets on the market. Not a big fan, but I can see why others might like it.
The Clyff Minimalist Wallet has a slim pocket on each side, each holding about three cards, and a center pouch carries additional cards, some coins, or a few folded bills.
