NEW! Gramercy Leather Sling

I've been using WaterField Designs' products soon for two decades and yet every time I order something new, their design features surprise me a little on how well thought out they are.
This bag is fantastic for city breaks and summer time when your pockets don't scale to carry everything, like sunglasses.

This is a thoughtfully designed bag. I initially thought it might be too small, but it turned out to be exactly the right size for everyday use. It stands upright on a flat surface, thanks to the thick, high-quality leather, which is undoubtedly the standout feature. The leather has a substantial feel and gives the bag an excellent sense of structure and durability.
There are, however, a couple of design details that I think could be improved. The front flap functions well, but because it only partially covers the front pocket, it feels more decorative than purposeful. Extending the flap across the full width of the bag to completely cover the pocket would create a more balanced and refined appearance.
My other criticism is the buckle closure. While it opens easily, it can be awkward to fasten quickly because the upper and lower sections must be carefully realigned. A magnetic closure similar to the one used on the Shinjuku Messenger—or even the magnetic latch found on the Hudson Crossbody—would make the bag much quicker and more convenient to use without sacrificing its appearance.
Overall, this is an excellent bag with premium materials, outstanding craftsmanship, and an ideal size. With a few small design refinements, it would be even better.

Nice bag, but I wish it had the Fidlock instead of the Paragliding buckle. Also, the back sleeveless section fits an iPad mini.

My Gramercy Leather Sling is stunning, the design is beautiful and innovative, the care of the details is noticeably high. I was searching for an EDC sling practical but elegant, with enough space, well mare and organized, and with specific aesthetics: it seems like Waterfield somehow had read my mind! Granercy js the little sister to my Hudson! Thanks a lot for your talent and your efforts!

I typically use an Aer sling for everyday carry, but I wanted something that felt more refined for conferences, networking events, and professional settings. The Gramercy is perfect for that role. It comfortably carries my phone, sunglasses, keys, and wallet, and I can even fit my Sony RX100 Mark I when I want to bring a camera.

As always, WaterField's craftsmanship is exceptional. The leather, hardware, and overall construction are top-notch, and the design is timeless. It's a bag that looks just as appropriate in a business setting as it does for everyday use. I'm looking forward to many years of carrying it.
