A little disappointed in the design. Others I’ve witnessed are straight at the top. This one dips noticeably approximately 1.5 cm past the zipper when in the closed position. Guess I’ll have to live with it.
I got the Finn wallet, compact size, blue Forza material. I am very happy with it. It’s nice because it’s tiny in my pocket, holds the same number of cards as my previous regular wallet, and holds as much cash as I am likely to need. It should also help cure my bad habit of sometimes putting random pieces of paper in my wallet and leaving them there for months before noticing them again. In other words, there isn’t really much space to do that, but why would I want to?
The main thing that takes getting used to is that with about five cards on either side of the wallet, if I want to take one card out from one side I pretty much need to take out all the cards on that side and sort through them to get the one I want. It would be difficult to just remove one card at a time. Maybe if I carried fewer cards it would be easier and I might start doing that.
Another thing is that the wallet is so small that if it were not in my pocket I wouldn’t notice it. I can imagine that being a problem under certain circumstances. But on the whole I think that is a pretty good problem to have.
I initially bought the international size but returned it for the compact size. The difference in dimensions is very small, but it is very noticeable - the compact really feels a lot smaller and I like that. I realize it won’t necessarily be convenient when I travel overseas and the currency notes are larger, but in that case I can take my old standard wallet instead. If you travel overseas and don’t like the idea of switching out your wallet, I would definitely buy the international size as it will still be tiny compared to your old wallet.
Finally, if I were to buy it again maybe I'd get the red one just so that it would stand out when I am looking for it.
I now own several wallets and bags from Waterfield, common sense functionality and quality are the only way to describe their products. They have made me a lifetime customer.
I received the Finn Wallet and have been using it for a couple of weeks now. I replaced my Bellroy Elements card case with this wallet. The Finn wallet appears to use a higher grade leather and feels very well made. This wallet is a great minimalist wallet that reduces bulk for front pocket carry. I expect this wallet to last a long time and would highly recommend to anybody looking for a minimalist front pocket wallet.
This is a great wallet to hold your phone, cards and cash. The leather is soft it has enough card space an doesn’t look to big when everything is in and zipped. My next purchase will be the new sling coming out.
