The 3DS XL CitySlicker is a custom-fitted Nintendo case with pockets for your favorite games. A cushy interior hugs the Nintendo 3DS XL, and a double-layer leather flap enriches its look.

All our products are crafted locally in our workshop by the most skilled sewing team in San Francisco.

- Full-grain cowhide leather flap
- Ballistic nylon body
- Rear power mesh pocket
- Soft liner

Weight & Dimensions:
3DS XL: 7.25" x 4.5" x 1.25"; 4.4 oz.
2DS XL: 7" x 4.35" x 1.25"; 4.0 oz.

- YKK locking zippers

  • Assorted leather flap colors
  • Rear power mesh pocket for larger items including charger
  • Three slots for game cards, each pocket fits two cards each

The CitySlicker is custom-fit for the 2DS or 3DS XL consoles and carries 3 game cards. If you have an additional protective casing on your console, it will make for a poor fit.
The back mesh pocket can hold other accessories. The CitySlicker can be used on its own, or stashed inside other WaterField Bags.

*** The old 3DS XL can also fit in 3DS XL CitySlicker size.

Thank God, A 3DS XL Case For Adults

Kotaku - Jan. 28, 2013

The CitySlicker is the welcome high-end video game accessory that actually feels high-end. It'll protect your hardware and let you carry a ton of extra games, headphones, and even your AC adapter. It looks mighty nice, too. If you're planning to play as much Fire Emblem (or whatever else) on the go as I've been, it's just the thing.

Accessory Review: WaterField New Nintendo 3DS and XL Cases

Nintendo Life - February 27, 2014

“We'd highly recommend the CitySlicker. It comes at a premium price, but its quality shines though and we can't think of a better way to transport your New 3DS XL in safety.”

Accessory Review: WaterField CitySlicker 3DS Case

Nintendojo - March 25, 2015

“When retailers, other companies, even independent businesses decide to rival WaterField on the level showcased here, the discussion can be had for what the best case is for the 3DS family. However, as it stands, WaterField has created what can only be summed up as the perfect case; quality-first, care-embedded, and all-around illustrious. What’s presented here is a display of artistry, and, personally, I’d have it no other way.”

No comparison

Best option on the market if you want something high quality that doesn’t stick out in an adults bag. It is a bit chunkier than the Vita version but honestly I have no real complaints. Still breaking it in.

Shouldn't have skipped this!

I've had my 2DS XL since the launch of the Pokeball edition, and I shouldn't have been stingy. City Slicker cases were always my go-to since the dawn of their DS lite and PSP cases. I've had one for all my portables, but always had to save up for them. It took me too long to get this beautiful case, but like I always say about these cases:

If you have a device in need of a case, don't fret, just get. --and get from Waterfield. They make the best.

PS: Hey Gary! I hope one day you'll offer a New 3DS (non-XL) version. It's not as popular here in the US since Nintendo released 3 models in limited quantities, but they still exist. I love the small model and this 2DS XL City Slicker is too loose. T. T

New case

I love my new case it's much better than my old one. I should have gotten carabiners for it so I could hook it up to my bag. It's a expensive buy for just a case but it looks amazing.

Great product that I'll use for my 3DS XL and 2DS XL, as well.

Incredible materials and workmanship!

Awesome work. Best quality!

How do you suggest I clean the leather?

Actually, we suggest not doing anything. Part of the beauty of highly distressed leather develops as it gets used over time— with rain or getting bumped around. Leather conditioners will darken and alter the leather, maybe not something you desire. If at some point you want to condition the leather - we suggesting using Mink Oil. This will darken a bit at first - but will keep the leather very nice. You can also spread the oils around and smooth them out a bit with a hair dryer and your hand. Any leather discoloration or marks are straight from the actual hide itself; it's part of the character of the leather. That’s how you know it’s the real thing. Each hide has it own look; it's unique just like you. With naturally tanned leather, there's always going to be a bit of character on it that's hard to control. It's one of the reasons we like it so much, you'll always be getting a one-of-a-kind bag.

How do you suggest I clean the ballistic nylon?

The ballistic nylon is *very* durable and will take scrubbing with a stiff brush and mild soap. Blot with towels/rags and let the case dry out. This should have the case looking good as new.
