A Stylish Solution

My new Vitesse Briefcase enables me to carry my MacBook Air or my iPad Pro (or both) with ease, class, and a perfect blend of minimalist efficiency. Well made as always and having just the right purpose.

Perfect for me

Stylish, professional briefcase that isn't too fancy/heavy/stiff for me like some leather options, nor too modern/techy like some nylon competitors. Needed depth for bulky items. Didn't want a backpack, tote, or a messenger with a flap for entry. In the main compartment, I carry a laptop in a sleeve, bento box, travel mug, shaker cup and 2 food containers - not a lot of briefcases can hold bulky round objects. Other pockets for papers and EDC items. Got black canvas which I love. It appears more professional for my workplace and less rugged than brown.

Vitesse Brief

I consider myself fortunate to have found Waterfield Bags after hours of internet product searches. The Vitesse brief replaces a 20+ year old trusted bag whose zipper finally broke. I am impressed with the bag’s its super high quality and attention to detail. I like the top zipper’s mechanical closure and look. The Vitesse has remarkable capacity with many compartments to stash laptops, notebooks, electronics etc. The waxed canvas exterior feels good when I touch it and displays no wear after being stuffed and thrown around during a 3-week road trip on EU trains and roads. The only thing missing is a key holder which I easily corrected. This Vitesse bag likely will last longer than my previous bag. Also important in today’s bot infected company websites, Waterfield customer service is friendly and prompt. I am now considering another Waterfield bag because of the Vitesse quality and feel of touch.

Inside, a wide pocket fits a laptop (protected in its own sleeve) or documents, and two deep organizational pockets hold accessories. The sides and bottom are reinforced with a double layer of waxed canvas for durability.

HEAVY-DUTY 15 OZ. WAXED CANVAS

Not all waxed canvas bags are created equal. Lower quality bags use 6 oz. canvas. The majority designated as “durable” use 12 oz. canvas. At 15 oz., our waxed canvas exceeds what is commonly sold in the market, yet it's still lightweight. It has a naturally rugged, distressed look you can re-wax to freshen it up.

The canvas comes from a reputable U.S. mill that has produced these fabrics since 1930. This specialized textile is coated with Martexin Original Wax™ and shouldn't require much cleaning. Just wipe off stains with a damp cloth.

HOW TO FRESHEN UP YOUR CANVAS

Keep your Vitesse Brief looking new by applying wax when you think it needs a little refresh. Although you can use any wax, you may want to try Martexin Original Wax™ which was originally used to coat your canvas bag.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE HARDWARE

High quality hardware components complement the elegant simplicity of the Vitesse Brief, ensuring that what you carry will remain safe and protected.

Double zipper-pulls overlap so you can lock them together to secure your bag's contents. The straps attach to industrial-grade clips that swivel so your Brief stays balanced on your body as you move. The double paragliding-style buckles on the flap are easy to open for those familiar with it, but are a deterrence for pickpockets.
