Solid bag of excellent quality

Just the right size, durable, and perfect for carrying everything I need — no more, no less.

looks great comfortable fit

Navy blue canvas cycling Musette looks better live than on the internet, comfortable fit, swing it forward for easy access to items in bag even while riding swings back completely out of the way. Great bag better than a back pack feels weightless even with a heavy U-lock, tools, water bottle and Snacks.

Handle

Could use a handle to carry pouch when not on the shoulder

Very nice!

This is just what my husband was looking for — not too bulky, fits his computer, phone, and papers, and holds its shape nicely.

Lovely as the first day I got it

I bought the bag in December of 2019, but waited until I've used the bag long enough to write a somewhat long-term review. Originally, I bought the bag for bike commuting, but I found that even with the strap shortened, the bag still moved around a little bit too much for my liking. Maybe if I was on a more upright bicycle the bag would be more comfortable. I use the bag daily and pre-pandemic, commuted to work via Light rail so everything had to fit tetris style - breakfast, lunch, 160z thermos, 26oz flask, and a book. With the aforementioned items, the bag was bulging and at times hard to close, but in all honesty I expected too much from a minimalistic bag. Construction and material is top, as expected from Waterfield. The strap feels nice, but I honestly believe you need to buy their shoulder strap because it makes the bag so much more comfortable, especially when you load it up like I do. The unstructured design is nice because when the bag isn't full of rigid items, it forms to your body when you're wearing it and feels comfortable - it's not bouncing around. If I ever need to upgrade to a bigger bag, I'll definitely look at Waterfield first.
I've included pictures of the bag 9 months in and what I typically carry (minus the flask).

IT'S ELEGANTLY SIMPLE

The minimalist design lets you create multiple uses for this lightweight bag.

"Excellent bag, comfortable and stays in place whilst riding. The bag provides space for everything I need without any useless straps/pockets/zippers." - Hans S.

HOW TO FRESHEN UP YOUR CANVAS

Keep your bag looking new by applying wax when you think it needs a little refresh. Although any wax is applicable, you can use Martexin Original Wax which was initially used to coat your canvas bag.
