Whether you only get the Air Porter or you get the Air Porter in combination with the Air Caddy, you are sure to appreciate the design, the craftsmanship and, most importantly, the functionality of this Waterfield offering; both are great for travel."

"If you’re in the market for a travel carry-on that’s designed with a ton of thought and attention to detail, that’s made in America by people who are paid decent wages, and that will last for many years to come (I’m about to enter year 8 for my Muzetto) the Air Porter is certainly worth a look."

"The WaterField Designs Air Porter was created in collaboration with customers who travel and is perfect for those who find themselves on airplanes to get work done."
I really like my new Air Porter bag. Perfect for the office and travel, very well laid out and easy to organize. It is clearly going to be very durable and I expect it will last for years.
The level of service from SF Bags is spot on, and much appreciated. The help and service level is what you used to get from walking into a local shop and having the proprietor pull out the exact right product, answer all your questions and make a somewhat extravagant purchase feel worthwhile. Thank you!
love the new briefcase. Looks great and really functional. I really wish a few of the internal pockets had a zipper or other enclosure. I keep my work badge as well as travel cards in the pockets and when the bag gets knocked over, they fall out. It’s a pretty important feature to me - so that’s why the 4 start vs 5 star review. Thanks
I’m totally happy with this bag. Great for day trips and overnight business.
The bag is wonderful. High quality, smells great, all the usual praises for Waterfield gear. The only improvement would be to increase the thickness of the neoprene in the laptop area, similar to the MBP sleeve you sell.
The Air Porter is literally the best air plane/daily commute bag I've ever owned. It is super compact but so well designed, it is ridiculous. I can carry all of my travel stuff in a way that is cleanly organized and everything is easy to get to. The water bottle holder securely holds a 650 ML bottle. The other end securely holds an umbrella. Two things that are not flopping around while moving through an airport, plane or bus. This replaces a larger tote that was cumbersome when traveling to conferences and meetings. It looks like a very cool briefcase. No more lugging the laptop in an extra sleeve and pulling it in and out of the tote, and so on. Very, very cool looking as well. Worth the price.
How do you suggest I clean the ballistic nylon?
The ballistic nylon is *very* durable and will take scrubbing with a stiff brush and mild soap. Blot with towels/rags and let the case dry out. This should have the case looking good as new.
How do you suggest I clean the waxed canvas?
Waxed Canvas isn’t the easiest item on the planet to clean - part of the character-building process with Waxed Canvas is how it ages with scuffs, dirt, stains and all. Still, there are things you can do. This article gives you a good idea of how to clean and re-wax if and when you are ready. They suggest using dish soap and soft brush to clean, then drip dry, then take a hot hairdryer to heat up the wax and redistribute it. This will soften any blemishes and help with the dirt. The lines and crinkles on the waxed canvas are actually normal, and happens in shipping sometimes. All you have to do is use a hair dryer and you can flatten out the wax with your hand.
How do you suggest I clean the leather?
Actually, we suggest not doing anything. Part of the beauty of highly distressed leather develops as it gets used over time— with rain or getting bumped around. Leather conditioners will darken and alter the leather, maybe not something you desire. If at some point you want to condition the leather - we suggesting using Mink Oil. This will darken a bit at first - but will keep the leather very nice. You can also spread the oils around and smooth them out a bit with a hair dryer and your hand. Any leather discoloration or marks are straight from the actual hide itself; it's part of the character of the leather. That’s how you know it’s the real thing. Each hide has it own look; it's unique just like you. With naturally tanned leather, there's always going to be a bit of character on it that's hard to control. It's one of the reasons we like it so much, you'll always be getting a one-of-a-kind bag.
Will the Air Porter fit under the seat in front of me on a plane?
While we have tested the bag on several different planes, it should fit under most seats in front of you on a plane.
