This is the second item I’ve purchased and there’s clear quality in both the tech folio and my messenger bag.

I needed a larger bag with more storage so I upgraded from my messenger to this backpack.

No real complaints to far. Haven’t had a chance to travel with it yet. It did have 5-6 long strands of thread that needed to be trimmed at the bottom and zipper seams when I first opened it.

I have been a long-time Waterfield customer and owned several products over the years. I purchased the Tech Folio briefcase about two years ago, and I decided to purchase the companion backpack. The backpack arrived on time, and it is a beautiful product. I was easily able to transfer all of my gear from the briefcase to the backpack, and everything fit perfectly. As always, the materials are top tier, and I really, really like the fact that Waterfield products are made in the U.S.A. This is a premium product well worth the price because all Waterfield products are designed and built to last. And the customer service is great!

I work as a finance professional in NYC and have been on the hunt for a new bag to replace my now 12yr old brief case. I wasn't able to find anything that had the same organization capabilities and professional look/feel as my brief for the past year or so until I found the Waterfield Tech Folio Backpack.

I am in love with this bag. Firstly, the quality and construction is so damn good. All the materials are top notch, from the leather to the liner, everything feels, and is, premium. The zippers are fantastic and the act of just opening and closing the bag brings a smile to my face everyday. I don't know what material they're using for the mesh compartments, but even that feels premium, sort of like a bulletproof silk. The shoulder straps and back padding are wonderful for it's intended use i.e. commuting to and from work and business travel.

Aside from it's handsome looks, the main reason I purchased this bag is for it's thoughtful organization. On most days I'm carrying a 14" laptop, 14" portable monitor, TKL mechanical keyboard, headphones, mouse, power bank, chargers, cables, notebook, pens/pencils, water bottle, sunglasses, wallet/passport, keys etc. This bag gives me a defined, vertical space for all these items with room to spare. With that extra space, I usually bring a light jacket/sweater or an extra set of clothes when I'm traveling for work. The luggage pass through design is fantastic and looks great sitting on top of my carry on. I'm a huge fan of the two laptop compartments as I use one for my laptop and the other for the portable monitor. The padded compartments are also great if you carry more fragile tech items like lenses, external hard drives etc. Shoot, there's even a micro compartment for an AirTag for some piece of mind.

Overall, I'm a huge fan of the Tech Folio Backpack. It's not just made for "DSLR" professionals, it's made for all professionals with a focus on organizing your gear. It's thoughtful and handsome design coupled with the use of premium materials make it a no-brainer for any 21st century professional.

As an independent consultant who travels globally I have for many years searched for the perfect bag to store my tech essentials, peripherals, camera, additional lens and travel essentials. I have now found it. The design of the bag has been thoroughly thought out, enabling protected storage of computer, tablet and peripherals/adaptors/cables and all of my travel essentials in a beautiful, rugged and protective, yet comfortable carry anywhere bag.

The design, quality of manufacture and attention to detail of Waterfield Designs bags are unsurpassed in the technology luggage space in my opinion. Have been a user of Waterfield messengers and backpacks for well over a decade. The Tech Folio Backpack is, in my opinion, the pinnacle bag for the travelling digital nomad.
