Happy to have found a good looking compact bag that fits my laptop, camera, notebook, and everything else I carry daily.

Perfect size

Perfect size and excellent quality. I also have the musette and prefer the plus. Both are fantastic and I highly recommend.

Great bag, just wish the strap was detachable

I bought the Vitesse Musette Plus recently. My MacBook Pro fits perfectly. The waxed canvas feels solid and well made, and you can tell right away this isn't a cheap bag. It already looks like something that'll age nicely.

I would give 5/5 but, my only concern is the strap. It's sewn directly into the side of the bag in one piece, and I'm not sure how well that spot will hold up over a few years of daily use. If it ever wears out or tears, there's no easy way to replace it. I'd much rather see a metal ring or loop on the bag with the strap clipped onto it. That would take some stress off the seam and make it easy to swap the strap out down the road.

Other than that, it's a great bag and I'd still recommend it, especially if you're looking for something to carry a laptop that doesn't look like a typical tech bag.

The God of Messenger Bags

Easily the best messenger I have ever had. The Vitesse Plus holds far more than one might expect from its size, and because it is minimally structured you can make use of the space as you see fit. The waxed canvas is excellent quantity, the new style buckle is superb, and the way the strap is sewn into the sides of the bag mean no awkward hardware like other messengers have. It is light, comfortable to carry and stylish. What more could you want?

HEAVY-DUTY 15 OZ. WAXED CANVAS

Not all waxed canvas bags are created equal. Lower quality bags use 6 oz. canvas. The majority designated as “durable” use 12 oz. canvas. At 15 oz., our waxed canvas exceeds what is commonly sold in the market, yet it's still lightweight. It has a naturally rugged, distressed look and can be re-waxed to freshen it up.

The canvas comes from a reputable U.S. mill that has produced these fabrics since 1930. This specialized textile is coated with Martexin Original Wax™ and shouldn't require much cleaning. Stains can be wiped off with a damp cloth.

HOW TO FRESHEN UP YOUR CANVAS

Keep your bag Vitesse Musette Plus looking new by applying wax when you think it needs a little refresh. Although you can use any wax, you may want to try Martexin Original Wax™ which was initially used to coat your canvas bag.
