Exactly What I Needed

Had been looking for a while for a bag to replace my old work messenger. The Vitesse brief had the size, look, and construction of what I wanted. Received it and it was perfect. Love the waxed canvas. More olive than brown. Fits my work laptop or my M3 MacBook Air 13inch with sleeve easily. As well as an iPad mini, medium sized WaterField gear pouch, and Woolnut AirPods Max case. All without making the bag feel cramped or bulky. Paired with the optional suspension strap and this bag is perfect.

Rugged, practical bag

I love the look and durability of this bag. The waxed canvas seems superior even to Filson, and there’s just enough interior organization. There’s no internal padding and I consider that a feature - my 16” MBP is in a Waterfield neoprene sleeve and that’s how I carry it in the Vitesse. When I’m not carrying the MBP, unnecessary padding isn’t eating up internal volume. The front clasps are quality with a positive click and easy enough to open (though I’d prefer magnetic to make opening with a single pull possible) and the flap covers a few pockets for things like phone and wallet. There’s an open pocket on the other side that’s great for quick access. Overall a very functional bag that’s become my daily carry.

IT'S ELEGANTLY SIMPLE

The minimalist design and open interior of this versatile, lightweight brief let you carry work or personal items with ease.

Inside, a wide pocket fits a laptop (protected in its own sleeve) or documents, and two deep organizational pockets hold accessories. The sides and bottom are reinforced with a double layer of waxed canvas for durability.

HEAVY-DUTY 15 OZ. WAXED CANVAS

Not all waxed canvas bags are created equal. Lower quality bags use 6 oz. canvas. The majority designated as “durable” use 12 oz. canvas. At 15 oz., our waxed canvas exceeds what is commonly sold in the market, yet it's still lightweight. It has a naturally rugged, distressed look you can re-wax to freshen it up.

The canvas comes from a reputable U.S. mill that has produced these fabrics since 1930. This specialized textile is coated with Martexin Original Wax™ and shouldn't require much cleaning. Just wipe off stains with a damp cloth.

HOW TO FRESHEN UP YOUR CANVAS

Keep your Vitesse Brief looking new by applying wax when you think it needs a little refresh. Although you can use any wax, you may want to try Martexin Original Wax™ which was originally used to coat your canvas bag.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE HARDWARE

High quality hardware components complement the elegant simplicity of the Vitesse Brief, ensuring that what you carry will remain safe and protected.

Double zipper-pulls overlap so you can lock them together to secure your bag's contents. The straps attach to industrial-grade clips that swivel so your Brief stays balanced on your body as you move. The double paragliding-style buckles on the flap are easy to open for those familiar with it, but are a deterrence for pickpockets.
