Muzetto Overview Video with Gary
WaterField Designs - Portable Muzetto Run-through with Gary (4/2010)
Refined style. The Muzetto was designed to carry an iPad, tablet, or laptop without looking too obvious. However, the bag looks good enough to take along even if there are no devices inside. As the supple leather ages over time, the bag becomes even more irresistible to touch. Perfect for travel, it somehow manages to avoid the bulky look even when stuffed.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm loving my new Muzetto (pine) bag. The leather is top notch and I love the color I chose. I was almost going to go with plain black accent but the pine is an awesome shade of green and suits me well I think. I got the bag with a SleeveCase for my MacBook Pro and it fits in the bag perfectly! I'm very satisfied with your products once again and will always continue to think of SFBags first when it comes to bags and cases.
Also, the bag got here extremely fast. It took only two days!
Thanks a lot!
I just received my Muzetto 13" laptop bag the other day, and I am amazed!
I was a little nervous spending so much on a bag that I thought was comparable to some selling for [about] $80, until I opened the package. The quality of design and construction of this bag are a cut above. I have no doubt that this is a 20 year bag, where many of the competitors I was considering looked like they might last a year or two.
My only regret is that I didn't have the guts to go for the green one, I stayed with the conservative black. But then, the amber colored liner added that splash of color I needed for my own satisfaction, without showing it off to the world. It's kind of like having a really nice jacket, lined in lime green silk, it's just for me.
Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks, and that now that I recognize the quality of your work I will be ordering a slip case for my kindle from you guys soon.
Oh, and I also really appreciated the handwritten note on the packing slip...nice touch! I will certainly spread the good word...
Just a quick note to add my testimonial to the long list of satisfied customers. I own about 5 of your products and use all extensively. I've got a Mambo Combo with interior gear bags and 15.4" laptop sleeve, a brand new Muzetto (personal size) and several different sized camera cases. They all are perfect at their jobs. I use them daily and I have recommended your bags to dozens of friends. They are well-made, durable, and handsome. I've long been a "man bag" carrier and I have about 4 different ones from different manufacturers. I got hooked on these bags when I was travelling in Europe extensively on business years ago. I have to say that of all the bags I own, the Muzetto is the nicest looking.
All the best,
Hey there Gary, I just wanted to drop you a note and give a long overdue testimonial to the quality of your product.
I purchased a large Cargo bag in 2000 when I was working as a government contractor. It was the perfect bag for lugging my laptop and numerous other things around the planet as I visited government offices in several countries. The bag never ripped, scuffed, broke a zipper,or cracked a buckle no mater how many over head bins it was stuffed into, or how many train or airplane seats it was stuffed underneath.
Flash forward eight years and a major career change, and now I'm working as a nurse, but the cargo bag is STILL the best bag for carrying all of things I need to take care of patients: Bandages, stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, paperwork, etc. all have a place in this bag. It truly is one of the best purchases I have ever made. And the bag itself still looks like new. Not a tear, scratch or scuff anywhere on it.
If I had one complaint about the bag, it is that it is so well made, and has held up so well, that I can't justify buying the large Vertigo bag I've had my eye on!
Keep up the great work, and keep making those great products!
1st of all i must say that the customer service experience from you guys has been, to put it mildly, astonishingly good. I can't remember the last time I was personally thanked for buying something online that wasn't a cookie cutter form letter. A very nice surprise was the handwritten "Thank You" note on the invoice. I mean COME ON...who does this these days?????? Again, wow. This kind of hands-on attention is just so foreign to my other buying experiences that it just really impressed the hell out of me. Its like I have been working in an Industrial Revolution sweatshop and William Morris just showed up to give me a drink of water.
Most importantly, this bag kicks ass. I don't need to tell you about the quality & so on (you make them, you already know that) But I will say that i see where my $254 went. This thing is built like a sexy, soft and rugged tank. It looks insanely cool, it feels really good and well made, hell, it even SMELLS good.
The buying experience has been exceptional. The product is 1st rate. As a designer I see a formula for good design mixed with good business in your company.
"The craftsmanship of the Muzetto is second to none."
"The attention to detail is very impressive to say the least. I haven't seen such good stitching on most bags. Very well done."
Carrying the Muzetto around couldn't be any more comfortable. It's the perfect portable size to match the iPad and it's very easy to handle. The shoulder pad will make carrying your stuff around a pleasure and your neck will appreciate it even more if you decide to use the shoulder strap around your neck. Would I dare say this is one of the best leather bags around? In a heartbeat, yes. WaterField never disappoints.
Rating (1 out of 5): 4.5
"The Muzetto laptop bag from Waterfield is quite possibly the most attractive notebook accessory I've used--ever."
Editor Rating: 4.5/5 Excellent
The key is to find a bag which is large enough to hold the iPad and some other gear, but small enough to take advantage of the device's small size and, ideally, be stylish in the process. We've looked at a number of different bags, but by far the nicest I've seen yet comes from one of my favorite bag companies — WaterField.
When I saw that the company was coming out with a bag perfectly sized for use the iPad (the Muzetto Portable), I knew I wanted one. Well mine arrived yesterday, and I have to tell you... I love it. It's a beautiful, yet totally functional bag that I know I'll enjoy using.
Conclusion: Perfect for Carrying an iPad
"The beauty of the Muzetto it is that you can carry your necessities without bothering with a big bulky bag, and the Muzetto will hang nicely by your side – or across your body when worn bandoleer style."
"If you want a bag that is big enough to carry the necessities when carrying your computer -- but not too big and bulky, one that can be used as a day bag on its own when you aren't carrying a laoptop, the Waterfield Muzetto is a wonderful option which should perform well and last for ages."
What I Like: Gorgeous leather bag with contrasting ballistic nylon trim; big enough to carry your laptop and all the necessities, not so big that you look like you've packed the kitchen sink; works as a fabulous day bag on its own.
The Muzetto is like a vertical, leather messenger bag. Although it is a very substantial bag it is not padded, so that you can use it without your laptop as a day- or travel-bag, for those times you don't need the extra padding. When you are carrying your laptop, you'll want to use your SleeveCase to give your laptop protection.
Yes, each Muzetto comes with a grippy shoulder pad that is about five inches long and dime thin. It allows the strap to slide through it so you can change from walking mode to access mode without taking the Muzetto off your shoulder. When you reach into your car or down to retrieve something the shoulder pad keeps the bag firmly in place.
The leather is well-oiled so sometimes a good rub will do the trick. When it needs a bit more, we recommend a leather conditioner like lexol or one similar.
Or, if you don't want to listen to us... Throw it in the washing machine with bleach on hot. Then kiss that baby goodbye.
We avoided magnets and snaps that can interfere with contents and limit ease of access. The weight of the flap holds it down to close the bag. We tested several options and chose the best for our customers.
The gold liner allows you to see the contents of your bag more easily and locate items more quickly. (With black or patterned liners, contents tend to blend in an be difficult to identify.)
